As some of you have noticed, there has been problems with this mailing list - some messages have disappeared without a trace.
I believe I have figured out what happens, and how it can be avoided. The missing messages seem to have the following in common: - They are written in MS-Word - Cut and pasted into MS-Outlook - Sent in character set "Windows-1252" - Have a Danish character in the senders name If you use Word for writing your mail, and it does not show up on the mailing list, you should check if your Outlook has decided to send in Windows-1252. If so, set it back to iso-8859-1. (I don't quite know how to check that, as I haven't touched Outlook for many years). You can also try to cut and paste the mail into notepad, save as a .txt file, open that again, and cut and paste from it... Or something. I have reported this bug to the writers of mailman, and have today upgraded the program to version 2.1.4 (from 2.1.2). The release notes did not say anything about this bug being fixed, but maybe it behaves a bit better... If your mails do not show up on the list, I would like to hear about it. I believe this software *has* to work - not only for brygforum, but also because our company uses it for various things the bosses think are more important... - Heikki -- Heikki Levanto heikki at indexdata dot dk "In Murphy We Turst"
