Like many people have said, time will often help with such. I once made
a porter (my third brew ever), big, strong, and bitter. I almost ditched
it as undrinkable, but my beer-guru told me to wait.  And rightly so,
the beer kept improving. A year later I had 4 bottles left, of which I
sampled one and sent the rest to DM, where it won a silver medal.


So don't give up,

  it will be beer anyway

P.S. How much bittering hops did you use for it? What kind of beer? I am
getting curious about it.
