Well, I don't know the kit, so I have no idea how much and what kind of
yeast they have included.

Many of the dry yeasts are quite powerful. There are three ways to deal
with them:
  1) Just drop it in the wort when cooled
  2) Rehydrate it (soak half an hour in water that has been boiled and
     cooled down)
  3) Make a proper starter.

The further down the list you go, the more likely you are to get a
powerful and effective primary fermentation, and the less time the wort
is vulnerable for an infection. On the other hand, the more you mess
with the yeast, the more chances you have of infecting it at that stage.
I usually rehydrate my dry yeasts, and get visible signs of the
fermentation start within a couple of hours of pitching. For a beginner
I would advice options 1 or 2. For an experienced brewer 2 or 3. But it
all depends on your mood, the yeast, the cleanliness of your kitchen,
and a small shitload of other parameters...

No matter what you do,

   it will be beer anyway
