I don't! I crush my malts the same day, while the mashing water warms
up. The base malt lives in its sack in the corner of the kitchen, and
the special ones in smaller plastic bags, in a plastic box.

I have used them before. The white buckets are quite fine for many
things. After a trip in the dishwasher they are perfectly clean. If
there is a label, it may be tricky to remove. If not, the printed-on
text is even harder. Luckily you don't have to remove those.

Deep freezer, in original vacuum bags. After opening, I roll the bag as
tight as I can, stuff in another plastic bag, and try to use it up in a
few weeks. I have had older hops in more open bags in the freezer, but
no more...

So, buy a malt mill instead!
And don't worry too much about storing your things. They may loose a bit
of flavours, but in the end they still make
beer anyway
