Hi, I have been noticing this for many days.
When I ping google.com from my OpenBSD firewall I always get packet loss where as other sites don't give any packet loss. Is there anybody experiencing the same problem? Please see the details below ================================================= # ping -c 20 google.com PING google.com (64.233.167.99): 56 data bytes 64 bytes from 64.233.167.99: icmp_seq=0 ttl=238 time=306.161 ms 64 bytes from 64.233.167.99: icmp_seq=2 ttl=238 time=357.133 ms 64 bytes from 64.233.167.99: icmp_seq=4 ttl=238 time=311.065 ms 64 bytes from 64.233.167.99: icmp_seq=5 ttl=238 time=307.716 ms 64 bytes from 64.233.167.99: icmp_seq=6 ttl=238 time=311.530 ms 64 bytes from 64.233.167.99: icmp_seq=7 ttl=238 time=311.148 ms 64 bytes from 64.233.167.99: icmp_seq=8 ttl=238 time=345.513 ms 64 bytes from 64.233.167.99: icmp_seq=9 ttl=238 time=395.480 ms 64 bytes from 64.233.167.99: icmp_seq=11 ttl=239 time=305.474 ms 64 bytes from 64.233.167.99: icmp_seq=12 ttl=239 time=318.480 ms 64 bytes from 64.233.167.99: icmp_seq=13 ttl=239 time=310.905 ms 64 bytes from 64.233.167.99: icmp_seq=14 ttl=239 time=308.835 ms 64 bytes from 64.233.167.99: icmp_seq=15 ttl=239 time=313.388 ms 64 bytes from 64.233.167.99: icmp_seq=16 ttl=238 time=334.929 ms 64 bytes from 64.233.167.99: icmp_seq=17 ttl=238 time=312.862 ms 64 bytes from 64.233.167.99: icmp_seq=18 ttl=238 time=329.377 ms 64 bytes from 64.233.167.99: icmp_seq=19 ttl=238 time=314.819 ms --- google.com ping statistics --- 20 packets transmitted, 17 packets received, 15.0% packet loss round-trip min/avg/max/std-dev = 305.474/323.224/395.480/22.983 ms ============================================================== #
