I think HammerFS is not suitable for production yet. You may consider using ZFS and raidz on FreeBSD and many have started using it on production servers. It is still buggy and the performace will be improved in the coming releases almost upto 30% according to Kip Macy (he's the one currently doing the ZFS work on FreeBSD). You may also consider using gvinum on FreeBSD.
