Hi, today i tried to run Tomcat 6 with openjdk7-darwin-i386-20080820. I got the following:
SCHWERWIEGEND: Socket accept failed java.net.SocketException: Invalid argument at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.socketAccept(Native Method) at java.net.AbstractPlainSocketImpl.accept(AbstractPlainSocketImpl.java: 358) at java.net.ServerSocket.implAccept(ServerSocket.java:501) at java.net.ServerSocket.accept(ServerSocket.java:469) at org .apache .tomcat .util .net .DefaultServerSocketFactory .acceptSocket(DefaultServerSocketFactory.java:61) at org.apache.tomcat.util.net.JIoEndpoint $Acceptor.run(JIoEndpoint.java:310) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:674) 29.07.2009 15:43:16 org.apache.tomcat.util.net.JIoEndpoint$Acceptor run several times. There seems to be a problem with the tcpip stack or something. Dont have a clue why the socket cant be bound. Then i tried: soylatte16-amd64-1.0.3 This worked out of the box. It was even 10 seconds faster in bootstrapping tomcat than the oficial Java Mac Implementation by Apple. A general note: Its quite confusing to follow the project state and all the relevant sub-projects and sites and all that. I hope things can get organized better somehow so that the Mac OpenJDK port becomes mainstream somehow. Right now only a very few people even know about it. Thanks for infos. --- regards Marc Logemann http://www.logemann.org http://www.logentis.de
