With some munging I was able to get a semi-functional bootstrap VM built using
Havard's scripts, and then use that to build a proper second stage bootstrap.

The second stage built openjdk natively just fine, and the result seems to work
in my very limited testing:
        land...@onefish:~/openjdk-ppc/bsd-port>
./build/bsd-ppc/j2sdk-image/bin/java -version
openjdk version "1.7.0-internal" OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build
1.7.0-internal-landonf_2009_12_02_14_21-b00)
OpenJDK Zero VM (build 17.0-b05, interpreted mode)

Once I have some more free time (probably this weekend) I have a few minor PPC
fixes I'll be committing, and I'll plan on posting binaries and instructions to
make bootstrapping a bit easier.
