With some munging I was able to get a semi-functional bootstrap VM built using Havard's scripts, and then use that to build a proper second stage bootstrap. The second stage built openjdk natively just fine, and the result seems to work in my very limited testing: land...@onefish:~/openjdk-ppc/bsd-port> ./build/bsd-ppc/j2sdk-image/bin/java -version openjdk version "1.7.0-internal" OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0-internal-landonf_2009_12_02_14_21-b00) OpenJDK Zero VM (build 17.0-b05, interpreted mode) Once I have some more free time (probably this weekend) I have a few minor PPC fixes I'll be committing, and I'll plan on posting binaries and instructions to make bootstrapping a bit easier. -landonf
