I'm on the TLUG mailing list for about 7 years and have been to a couple of their meetings,

Regarding translation, I can hold my own with English->Japanese depending on the amount
of material, since that translates into amount of time needed for it. I'm sure if I got
overloaded someone from the TLUG would probably be willing to jump in and help, so it
should be doable. What are the first things that you're looking to have translated?

Sounds great Shawn. .

We all know the strength of the BSDs in Japan, and we see the presence of Ruby in FreeBSD so we know the strength of Japan in the BSDs. ;-)

It would be great if the first press release was translated. . . We are looking for additional translations in the near future, including additional press releases, not to mention the various certification-related documentation, etc.

Assume you can grab a copy of the press release at bsdnews.com or somewhere else.

It would be great to get it posted around any Japanese language open source/BSD sites. . .

Thanks Shawn.

George
