Also, the newsletter should be out sometime tomorrow--there was a slight

BSDCG Logo Announced
BSD Certification Group Inc. and FJZone.org announce new image

BSD Certification Group Inc., a non-profit certification organization today
introduces a new identity and trade dress.

Ottawa, Canada and Paris, France, May 12, 2006 -- The BSD Certification Group
and FJZone.org today announced the launch of a official logo identifying the
certification organization. The announcement was made at BSDCan, the premier
North American conference for the BSD community. As the Group expands its
activities and its reach within the IT industry, it is preparing to step into
the media and corporate spotlight. A logo with clean colors and a strong,
custom typeface send clear messages of energy, reliability and, most of all,
openness.

"The BSD family is a unique one" said FJ, founder of the Zone which designed
the logo. "It gathers some of the world's most secure, most portable and most
network-friendly operating systems, that power millions of mission-critical
servers and rich media-capable desktop machines around the Internet." The new
BSDCertification.org logo depicts just that: there are the closed operating
systems, confined to their own spheres, a slew of individual initiatives,
lacking organizational power and, finally, there is the BSD family, open to
individual ventures while staying powerful as a coherent whole. The logo's
strong custom type underlines BSD's unique approach to open source development
as well as the BSD Certification Group's solid, impartial foundation. FJ
continues: "We just looked at the IT landscape of today... and put it on paper."

"BSD is in use everywhere but, so far, has suffered from its lack of a unified
image and media attention", said Dru Lavigne, the Group's Acting Executive
Officer and a long time BSD specialist. "We feel this new image will help us
carry through our mission of fostering attention around BSD, as well as
underline our belief in standard, trustworthy and reliable certification
programs -- the very programs we aim to develop within the global
technological community."

The BSD Certification Group Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to
creating and maintaining a global certification standard for system
administration on BSD based operating systems. It aims to establish an
internationally recognized set of proficiency tests to ease IT management,
hiring procedures and foster collaboration between members of the BSD
communities worldwide.

FJZone.org is a Paris, France, based studio. It focuses on networked
communication and distribution intelligence. Its aim is to show companies and
creative professionals alike how to effectively combine tasteful design and
reliable technologies to form a complete creative strategy and carry their
message consistently across all online and offline media.
