Hmm,

FYI, while being there I submitted another suggestion for people interested of what one could do if wishing to implement a BSF engine for a non-Java-based scripting language.

Jump-starting Implementing Non-Java Based BSF Scripting Engines */Implementing BSF Engines/*

Creating BSF engines is a very straight-forward endeavor for scripting languages implemented in Java.

Implementing the base BSF engine for non-Java-based ones is rather simple as well, thanks to the architecture and default BSF engine implementation.

Yet, allowing non-Java scripts to take full advantage of Java is rather difficult. Hence interfacing with Java objects, Java arrays, defining event handlers, working with the BSF registry needs to be tackled.

This session introduces (a BSF4Rexx spin-of) technology which solves the problem and can be reused via solely string-based interfaces.
