ieri..Dnei Gitman...dar nu omiteti cele doua rinduri scrise cu bold
despre exp.fotomontaj acum la Bucuresti tocmai pt.temele de care
stiit..sa aratam cum se face promovare si ce nu a fost in stare sa
faac MAE si ICR si de ce sunt eu prigonita de aceste instituti in loc
sa colaboram pt.binele tarii..Ele si mult din aceste institui nu vor
cu adevarat binele tarii..iar acum cu noi si cu alte expmple ce le ma
despre MAE si recnet despre ICR (la NY si la Praga..) trebuie aratat
ca acesti neromani ne fac mult mai rau decit ne-am imaginat
vreodata..si asta pe chiar banii contribuabilor romani.
O sa va trimiti plingerile noastre referitoare la directorii ICR NY
(Corina Sutetu) si Praga (Duta ..impotriva caruia, dupa scrisoarea
mea de acum o luna.. pina si unii MAE-isti au protestat, dar daca
vedeti corespindenta veti intelege..daca mai e nevoied e exemple in
plus - slaba pregatire, neprofesionalsimul cu care trateaza in public
probleme grave de altfel..)
Va rog sa ma sunati daca nu mai puteti astepta 2 ore..la

trebiuie aflat care sunt motivele disputeti dintre Pres.(la care noi
ne-am plins de doua ori) si Prim Ministru, dar pina ieri cel putin,
la web site niic nu au afisat ceva legat de Ziua Nationala..

Stimate Domnule Pop, si pina trimitem o stire directa peste 2 ore,
oricui vrea sa ajute cu distribuirea informatiilor/stirilor de mai jos
Multumim pt.stirea de mai jos...trebuie sa combinam cu ceea ce
tocmai am elaborat noi si pregatim sa distribuim de fapt de vreo
luna doar ca de data aceasta voima sa o faca romanii din tara caci
pt.ei am muncit de o viata..si e cazul sa ajute si ei macar in
tara.... , simteam ca se intimpla ceva neobisnuit ( mai ales ca la
web site-ul ambasadei nu se anunta pina ieri nici macar Ziua
Nationala a Romaniei ) va rog preluati aceasta stire si
distribuiti-o la toate listele dvoastra de adrese email .Va rog , la
toate, nu numai la citeva adrese ca acum.
Va rog, pina una alta, includeti Associated Press si Reuters chiar
si cu acelasi comunicat in romaneste pe care va rog sa-l faceti
dvoastra , sau o stire sau oricum o relatare mai succinta..pina in
vreo 2-3 ore..cind o sa revin eu..DAR ACUM TREBUIE ACTIONAT URGENT
- caci cu ocazia Zilei Nationale vrem sa atragem atentia asupra
unei drame romanesti importante si nevoii ca acest MAE sa se
restructureze profund.. Avem recomandari caci il obsrevam de 16
ani, cunoastem bine ce a facut si ce nu a facut dar trebuias a faca
ambasada/consulatele si ii invinuim de mari pierderi cauzate tarii
atit din lipsa sua slaba promovare culturala si economica cit si
din tinerea diasporei la distanta si subminind-o pe cea devotata
tarii si mai critica
Eu abia imi tin ochii deschisi (mai ales dupa o perioada data
complet campanie din Bucuresti de aparare a Centrului Istoric..cind
de fapt trebuai sa pregaetsc aici Aniversarea de 10 ani a Ligi
Romano-Americane si deschidrerea unei expoziti importante la muzeu)
ca am scris si altele...in romaneste, inclusiv la Bucuresti unde
avem acum o expozitie fotomontaj dovada a celor mai mari reusite de
"20 de ani de promovare a culturii romanesti in SUA " la o
organizatie linga Foisorul de Foc., Asociatia Artistilor Plastici
Amatori, Pop de Basesti 37, tel. 252-0360.dar abia se organizeaza
acum si nu e un loc grozav, este ce ne-a gasit un suporter mai
vechi, un artist ceramist de mare talent, acum in virsta, Dl.Carapavel...
Am vrea desigur sa o vada si aceia care hotarasc asupra acestui MAE
si din partea lui ca sa aibe un punct de reper. Si desigur,
Presedintele si Prim Ministrul..ca sa-i ajute la hotarire. Sigur am
vrea sa vada natiounea prin TVR caci de citiva ani nu mai suntem
lasati sa aducem asmenea bucurii tarii..si credem ca este din cazua
MAE-ului care a intreventi la TRV INterantional , la Monica
Zvirjzinski iar aceasta prin televiziune si la alte departamente cum
sunt cultura, educatia, economia, viata spirituala unde inainte de
anul 2000 apeream.
Dar sigur e greu sa convingem - mai ales de la distanta si fara sa
avem in tara voluntari destui si destul de comptenti in PR (eu am
facut munca asta anula si cu mult succes si in tara.unde astfel au
fost peste 50 de articole in presa pina anul trecut )- - ca e
cazul ca mult lume din Romania sa se docuemnteze sia stfel sa poata
evalua mai bine daunele aduse de MAE tarii...cind nu avem destule
forte sa ajute cu PR iar eu nu am mai putut veni anul acesta ..
Totusi, pt.ca este Ziua Nationala a Romaniei poate reusim ..prin
telefoane si trimiteri la presa ca sa poata afla tara ceea ce este
dreptul ei dar MAE-ul si ICR-ul nu vor sa i-l respecte...ca exista
si reusite mari de promovare a valorilor ei si ca s epoate face mult
mai mult doar cu putina cooperare ..nici macaf cu mai multi bani din
partea tarii caci altele trebuie sa fie mijloacele pt.promovare -
prin diaspora, cea care datoreaza tarii acesta ajutor dar nu a fost
si nu e stimulata in niic un fel de statul roman, stat care s-a
bazat pe MAE, desigur..fara sa verifice cineva..
Este momentul sa se stie in tara si va rog mult sa va aduceti
aceasta contributie trimitind stirea in tara mai intii, dar si in
afara, mai intii in SUA cu rugamintea sa fim contactati de
urgenta..(incluzindu-ne din nou si pe noi )
Desigur as vrea si va rugam sa formulati dvoastra un comunicat sau
macar o stire folosind materialul de mai jos si acesta. Va voi
trimite si altele peste 2 ore..
.Dupa ce o distributi vom reveni si noi repetind-o sau elaborind in
plus..Noi deja am trimis in romaneste plingeri la Mni.Ungureanu si
catre ICR pt.niste abuzurui recente ale ICR-=ului la NY si la Praga
unde conducatori sunt neromani ..nu p.tca sunt neromani dar nu le
pasa de ceea ce este specific si esential romanesc..si ne sfideaza,
mai rau ne exclud , ne umilesc si ne submineaza..
Va rugam mult sa trimiteti aceste lucruri direct oficialilor, adica
cu numele lor la titlu. Puteti trimite si la Directia de relati
extrene ale PNL, PD, PSD , PMR etc.si parlamentarilor de la
comisiile de externe, dar, desigur neaparat la cit mai multa lume de
la cabinetele Pres.Basescu (inclusiv dlui Stolojan) unde noi ne-am
plins deja de MAE prin Dl Saftoiu.
Daca nu avetit imp va rugam gasiti pe cineva care sa faca aceasta
munca si daca nu o face din atasament romanesc tot il rugam sa o
faca si va fi platitit in primele zile ale sapt.viitoare la
Buc.sau la Brasov sau prin posta (desigur sa ne scrie ca o face ca
sa tinem legatura si sa tina evidenta , in primul rind punindu-0ne
pe noi la cc la toate trimiterile; si noi avem adunate liste de
email dar nu sunt testate in ultima vreme sau adunate bulk..ma voi
ocuap de asta peste vreo 2 ore..
Dar acum e urgent sa mai prindeti lumea la serviciu, va rog mult.

Dear Mrs.Daniela Gitman,
Re. one day before we will issue our protest to your undemocratic,
unprofessional, and harmful attitudes and practices against us
(after the three months ultimatum that we gave you ) as the ONLY
non-government , independent diaspora ORGANIZATIONS IN THE US THAT
HAVE BEEN PROMOTING EXTENSIVLY THE ROMANIAN TRADITIONAL CULTURE
TO THE PUBLIC at LARGE AND THE MEDIA through more then 100
itinerant exhibits in 10 states and many dozen educational programs
as well as maintaining programs of concrete cultural, educational
and economic help for Romania.
Also a protest to your denial of public acces and services and
opportunities to us as well as to the damages and losses brought by
you to the Romanian people of Romania and even to those residing in
the US but still of Romanian citizenship by depriving them of our
services and of many opportunities that we have been created and
could create had you behaved properly/cooperatively or those that
we learned about but you refused to use or at least popularize.
Since you again are boycotting our programs (and now you are not
inviting us even to the Romanian National Day for this Friday or
weekend and not to even announcing us anything) we are putting a
stop on the Opening of our new to the US culture-economic exhibit
that you and your colleagues from NY chose to undermine as well as
our programs of Romanian and Romanian diaspora studies (the case of
you and ICR who even refused to show the work of history of
Romanian immigration - a TRAVELING INTERPRETIVE PHOTOGRPHIC EXHIBIT
of 300 photos on 11 fixed panels partially sponsored by American
humanities organizations )
.......and adding and new request to you to answer if your mission
, the Romanian-American treaty and the diplomatic and
administrative national and international principles and
practices allows that you would not answer any of our letters,
would show us complete defiance, would not show appreciation to our
extraordinary unique work for Romania in the US for 23 years where
we are still the only Romanian cultural space in the US in center
of a city out of all diaspora and not even pay a simple visit with
the occasion of your visit to our neighborhood in sign of respect
to the your Romanian people that we, Romanian Museum and Gallery,
represent , even worse not even announcing your visit so that we
can attend as well.
We have been waiting for three months for the Embassy answers to
our letters one of them being an ultimatum asking for the Embassy
to review, redress and make up to us for the very wrong attitudes
,denial of public services and access, illegal defiance of your
obligations towards us and of our rights both as Romanian citizens
and as Romanian-American organizations , despite the fact that we
have been generously, volunteerly, serving Romania for more then
23 years more then anybody else in the US diaspora and more then
you all who are not even able to popularize what we do , who would
not even volunteer one weekend at this museum nor send your family
members to help out of common courtesy cause they are living on the
public money of Romania that needs us
In turn you, who could not even produce one single exhibit and, if
you could not manage to get them from Romania, instead of
using/borrowing from our rich resources you preffered to boicott
them, to hide them from the Romanian and American Public that you
have the adresses of and to conspire against us. You prefered to
deprive the Romanian people of their right to be promoted and
better known in the US by their most representative cultural
heritage then to admitt to our successes as non-government
organizations. You show that only you, the government is important
and in power , entitled to the Romania's money and attention even
if you can not do as much as a good job as others do. They don't
count, you reject them, you stepp on them, you humiliate and
marginalize them claiming cynically that you are entitled to do
only what you like and you don't impede others.
So, instead of creating the framework for cooperation, to meet and
discuss ways of doing more and better and to stimulate more people
and organizations to do more for Romania as we have been requesting
for many years, you act like being in competition with us and even
acting like our enemy seeing your role as a mean force determined
to distroy us so that you are the only one in power .
It's obvious that you don't care about the Romanian people when you
show that what you do is enough and what others do should be
rejected especially if it's not done by helping you directly to do
your job. You install a wall between you and your own slaves and
the rest... You are not working with us and others to promote them
to the American public as to just pretend in front of your own boss
that you do something.
We consider that you intentionally wanted and want to inflict harm
on us pushing the Embassy , a state institution, to the role of
clique that openly discriminates and reject people with no legal
justifiction and in complete disregard of your mission and the
regulations that govern the Ministery
We tried hard to show you that you - the Embassy staff - should
learn to behave professionally and at least answer letters , to
explain and bring out any justifications that you might have in
your denial of proper services and opportunities to us, but you and
your staff including ICR-'s staff that you are in charge with (at
least when complains are sent to you) chose to reject us, exclude
us and our programs for Romanians in a very rude and inhumane
manner which tells a lot about your lack of respect for the civic
society and for democracy in general, your unprincipled behaviour
, your lack of sensitivity and sincere desire for the good of the
Romanian people who need, want, deserve, and are entitled to much
more help then you and your "friends" can provide; in fact you and
your friends could not even help us in our work of exhibiting
Romanian culture to the public at large and the media, even less
replace us as I asked the Embassy and the ICR to do or at least to
join us, as experts, in training people to do.
You still have one day before we would make public your
persecution and defiance (that includes defiance towards
diplomatic rules and American principles) to answer our letters
and issues risen.
Also, please tell us if the Embassy gave to Minister Razvan
Ungureanu our letter of ultimatum with the occasion of the
President visit in July and who is exactly the person who should
have confirmed us then as we requested.
Same about our one page presentation summarizing our work for
Romania and asking people help and input - that you refused to give
to the 300 Romanian people present or mail and email to the adresses you have.
You also refused to give us their adresses, as we requested, even
so they are public information. IN fact we are asking again for
them today, because we need to contact them before the Romanian National Day .
WE also ask (again) for explanations from the Cultural and the
Economic attachees and we know that you should have asked the ICR
to answer the issues and our requests.

PS PLease let us know if ICR made you aware that , since director
Corina Suteu continued her the abusive attitude , we requested the
tape from the College od Education at Columbia Univ.and the
director who housed the program proposed by Corina Suteu answered
that she requested the tape (that she gave to CS) ; still no answer
from Corina Suteu. I just prepared a material in English about that
abusive, defiante attitude of all American principles ...
