A new initiative launched jointly by the commission and Brussels Capital
Region will try and encourage commission workers to come to work once a week
by bike on Fridays.
09:00: launch of the event, commission staff meet to receive complimentary
welcome bike-packs at the esplanade of the Berlaymont.
9:45: short press meeting in the VIP Corner, Berlaymont, chaired by VP
Kallas together with ministers Huytebroeck and Smet.
10:00: signing of the Friday Bikeday charter by the participating companies
in the VIP corner, Berlaymont.
Friday Bikeday will be continued the following two Fridays (21st and 28th of
September).
