In this survey, you will select one city or municipality of your choice, and assess, first, the city's performance in creating a knowledge-based sustainable economy. Then, you will be asked to evaluate specific urban development strategies and their impact. The survey is designed by the Open City Taskforce, consisting of regional development practitioners from international organizations, NGOs and universities, and supported by the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the United Nations Public Administration Network (UNPAN), among others. This is the first of the comprehensive global survey on cities performance at the municipal level. The results of our survey will be published on these institutions' websites and provide valuable insight on benchmarking urban policies to help cities around the world face the challenges of the 21st century. Your opinion is very important and we would be very grateful if you could help us by responding to this survey! THE PROCESS IS REALLY SIMPLE: 1. Answer "Type A Questionnaire" please click on the link under "Type A questionnaire." You will assess the overall performance of the city which you are most familiar with. The questions are designed to ask your perception on the city's performance from several angles, including economic, social, quality-of-life and sustainability issues. 2.
