O postare semnificativa a unui cunoscut arhitect strain pe un for
international - privind regimul firesc de 4-5 etaje al cladirilor din
capitalele europene...
Try a google search for le Plessis Robinson and Val d'Europe. They are
large scale new developments south of Paris. Especially look for Place
de Toscane - it's very good. All at at least 4 or 5 storeys.
There is also some very good new building in Berlin that are always
urban and mostly informed by traditional models, and others that attempt
"modern but fitting in" with some success. Again, at about 4 or 5 storeys.
The only places where I have seen streets of 8 storey perimeter blocks
are in Budapest (from the Austro-Hungarian period) and Bucharest (post
WW2) . I think there are some in the more peripheral bits of Paris. A
bit of Google image search should produce examples.
