Thanks Blake - added that one. When you say keyboard definitions I interpret that to mean for use with xkbcomp. Since it is not part of a standard OS X install and requires running X I decided to go with Apple's use of XML. Furthermore that's what Dyalog has done. Also Readme-3 in the keyboard section states that GNU APL's standard layout is Dyalog so that's what I'm working with. I've already "enhanced" the DyalogAlt.keylayout and just am waiting to see if there are any comments on the proposed mapping.
