I have started now to replace libreadline. Some things will change and some others,
like pushing back to stdin will disapear.

I did try the --noCIN option, but doing so breaks some other behaviors
in aplwrap.

Long term, replacing aplwrap's output matching seems like an excellent
plan. For now, it's a bit more restructuring of the aplwrap transcript
code than I had anticipated.
