TeX-bar-LaTeX-buttons is a variable defined in `tex-bar.el'.
Its value is
(open-file save-buffer cut copy paste undo
[separator nil]
latex next-error view bibtex)
but none of the buttons before the separator are shown. I see this
after doing emacs -Q, loading auctex, then opening a .tex file and
`M-x LaTeX-install-toolbar'. This used to work (earlier CVS versions
of emacs and auctex), i think.
Also i would suggest to include all of the buttons in the standard
toolbar, and just add the TeX-specific ones to the end. (i certainly
miss "kill-buffer" which is the only thing i ever use the toolbar for)
