Do you have pdf2ps in your PATH?

Yes:

        pete 203 /\ which pdf2ps
        /usr/local/bin/pdf2ps

Uh, I meant pdf2dsc. And does it work? Is is the same version as that
of Ghostscript?

        pete 207 /\ which pdf2dsc
        /usr/local/bin/pdf2dsc
        pete 208 /\ pdf2dsc --version
        Error: /undefinedfilename in --file--

        Last OS error: 2
        Current file position is 1986
GPL Ghostscript 8.61: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1

It is working, since the DSC are created, and since all works in GNU and Carbon Emacsen without change in customisation.
