I'm using Aquamacs emacs, and I run TeX
entirely through that. So I hope there is
an auctex way of activating these messages,
but I couldn't find it in the auctex doc.
Anwyay, the problem is now fixed.
Shall I resend my previous message to the mailing
list? I thought it was a bit interesting.

Neiter do I have a Mac, nor do I know which TeX system you use. So
please ask on a Mac-related list. In addition I don't feel very
inclined to answer since you've repeatedly ignored my requests to keep
the mailing list copied.
