Remember to cover the basics, that is, what you expected to happen and what in fact did happen.
Be sure to consult the FAQ section in the manual before submitting a bug report. In addition check if the bug is reproducable with an up-to-date version of AUCTeX. So please upgrade to the version available from http://www.gnu.org/software/auctex/ if your installation is older than the one available from the web site. If the bug is triggered by a specific (La)TeX file, you should try to produce a minimal sample file showing the problem and include it in your report. Your bug report will be posted to the AUCTeX bug reporting list. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I started getting this recently: ,---- | Debugger entered--Lisp error: (wrong-number-of-arguments (2 . 2) 3) | jit-lock-force-redisplay(#<buffer talk.tex> 5056 5147) | font-latex-jit-lock-force-redisplay(#<buffer talk.tex> 5056 5147) | apply(font-latex-jit-lock-force-redisplay (#<buffer talk.tex> 5056 5147)) | byte-code("r\301\302H\303H\"\210)\301\207" [timer apply 5 6] 4) | timer-event-handler([t 20964 13676 522289 nil font-latex-jit-lock-force-redisplay (#<buffer talk.tex> 5056 5147) nil 733000]) `---- Apparently jit-lock-force-redisplay was changed a couple of months ago so it takes only two arguments (start, end) and they are markers, not buffer positions. I think what's needed is to change font-latex-jit-lock-force-redisplay as follows: (if (fboundp 'jit-lock-force-redisplay) - (jit-lock-force-redisplay buf start end) + (jit-lock-force-redisplay (copy-marker start) (copy-marker end)) ...
