All four of those test failures are due to testsuite limitations in 2.59 not working with the changes that occurred in M4 1.4.8, which was released later; and have since been fixed in the 2.61 testsuite. They should be harmless for installing 2.59, although the question still remains why 2.61 does not do the job for you. > > I am running Cygwin on a Windows XP Pro system.
