Hello Derek, Thanks for the report. The failures are due to the M4 version used. Current GNU M4 version is 1.4.8, current Autoconf version is 2.61. The testsuite of the latter is a bit more lenient wrt. older M4 versions, but you are highly encouraged to update M4 anyway due to at least one subtle bug that has been fixed.
