FWIW, the Autotest signal handling does weird things on NetBSD (tested) and OpenBSD (reported to me), to the point that the tests added for it do not run correctly, hang, or so. Back when I wrote it I had no problems at all with FreeBSD.
Sorry I haven't investigated in detail yet, so for now this is just a note to remember to fix this before the next release. Cheers, Ralf
