Upgrade to a newer (patched) version of bash. If you're building it yourself from source code, use http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/bash/bash-4.3.30.tar.gz as the starting point, and if you wish, you may also apply subsequent patches from h;ttp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/bash/bash-4.3-patches/ (currently there are patches up to 42). If you are not building bash from source code, then go through your operating system vendor or your system administrator or support contact for assistance.
