Just noticed *another* issue with this function, and with some other functions that were proposed earlier today. The -- option is going to be treated as a directory and trigger a separate invocation of the "real" mkdir: /bin/mkdir -p -- The good news is, if this actually happens, you'll probably get an error message telling you that it happened. wooledg:~$ mkdir -p -- mkdir: missing operand Try 'mkdir --help' for more information. If you didn't see that, then it's pretty likely that your function was not actually called.
