Yes, obviously running cfenvd.  I'm wondering what these files are  
used for.  Their names indicate things about active sessions, but  
cfengine doesn't track those does it?

My tidy section is entirely from an example configuration:

tidy:
         # Cfexecd stores output in this directory.
         # Make sure we don't build up files and choke on our own words!
         $(workdir)/outputs pattern=* age=7 inform=false

         # RPC is voluntary, so cleanup old requests
         $(workdir)/rpc_in pattern=* age=1 inform=false
         $(workdir)/rpc_out pattern=* age=1 inform=false

Nothing about state in there.
