Please forgive me if something like this exists already. I needed to find what
files other than .gif files existed in a certain directory, and looked
through the "ls" help to find a suitable option. There seemed to be nothing.
Something like:
ls -l --not *.gif
where --not is the (currently non-existent) option to exclude the given
filespec and show any other files (.bmp's, .tif's, etc. created by having the
scanner in the wrong mode).
