Hi, Can you please clarify the following query regarding "fmt" command:- If the length of a line is more than 1024 and I use fmt [fmt -s -w 77] on the file, the output file truncate characters of the line after 1024, i.e. It does not display the characters of that line after 1024 and continue further with next line. So, the output file does not contain all the characters. Does this command work like this and can I change this setting somehow.
