Be patient with them, it is a slow process (I have personally been at it
for more than a year, although 10 months of my delay was trying to get my
employer to sign a disclaimer).

No, the mailing list archives have saved it.  And if you ever do feel that
a patch has been overlooked, a gentle ping to the list pointing back to
the patch in question is acceptable.
