Dear Sir or Madam,
the reason I am writing to you is that the man page of tty_ioctl (4)
needs to be updated.
Some years ago, Al Viro along with Christoph Hellwig and Russell King
have worked on cleaning the tty layer. During these changes some ioctls
have been removed (such as TIOCMGET) and were replaced by their
respective callback functions (tiocmget).
Despite this fact, the man page of tty_ioctl (4) has not been updated
and still refers to these options as valid arguments for ioctl(). There
is also an example included written in C, that's not working any more.
Since the man page of tty_ioctl doesn't mention any author, would you
please be so kind as to redirect me or this message to someone that
could make the update?
