I don't know what "coreutils-5.94-3" is.  Can you reproduce the
problem with plain coreutils 5.94?

Or better yet, please try coreutils 5.97 instead:

I'd guess you are using a nonstandard version of coreutils that
reports a version of "5.94-3" rather than "5.94".  In this case, it's
not really an upstream coreutils problem; it's a problem with your
distributor, and you need to talk to your distributor to get their bug
fixed.
