Which is the last line where the file name contains no space. The sort keys are obtained by splitting the line on whitespace by default. > Afterwards, the files are assorted. The lines are still correctly sorted on the sort key, it's just not the key you expect. Better put the sort key in the first field, or split the line on the semicolon. That makes it unabiguous.
