Hi, I apologize if this is a silly question...
The man pages for df state that "-P" or "--portability" should, "use the POSIX output format". I admit that I am ignorant and do not know whether or not POSIX allows for thousands separators - but I suspect that they are a recent innovation that post dates POSIX. I have an environment variable set that triggers thousands separators. It can be overridden with an extra command line option, but I suspect that a "-P" should be sufficient.
