The GNU coreutils does not include netcat and so you are right that
this is not the mailing list for netcat.  Actually I don't even see
netcat listed as a gnu project but I don't really know the status of
it.  Searching the web says that the home page of "GNU" netcat is
http://netcat.sourceforge.net/ which seems strange if it really were a
GNU project program.

I have found that the Hobbit version of netcat handles end cases
strangely.  Instead of trying to use it I now use the ssh proxy
connect program much more often.
