Hi, (sorry for the noise again, but I hope this will help others sometimes later.) this root test failed on my Solaris 10 box, built with a non-GNU compiler: $ cc -V cc: Forte Developer 7 C 5.4 2002/03/09 $ NON_ROOT_USERNAME=ecs2 gmake check TESTS=cp/preserve-gid VERBOSE=yes
The output is attached. Didn't you (Jim) fix something very similar a few weeks ago (between coreutils-7.4.125-eca6 and coreutils-7.4.127-d2510)? Wasn't it a bad cast of bool<=>int due to a compiler problem? Have a nice day, Berny
