Hello dear GNU devs,
I encounter a problem when trying to use `mv`:
`# mv /path/to/some/logfile /path/to/some/archive/logfile.timestamp`
Now when the archive directory is in an id-mapped mount (the real
archive is onwned by my user -> id-mapped to a service-user which should
analyze these logs) then I get following error:
`mv: cannot create regular file
'/path/to/some/archive/logfile.timestamp': Value too large for defined
data type`
The specific logfile I used in this attempt is less than a kb - so the
size is definitely not the issue - moving it somewhere else works
without problems. Thus I conclude that the id-mapped mount is the enemy
here.
It might be that the real bug is with the linux version I am currently
running - however as the problem indication is a bit off - I assume it
is triggering an unexpected case in `mv` - which could be worth
investigating (in the unlikely case that anybody has some free
capacities ^^...).
