Hello, administrator:

I am from China, my native language is Chinese, and I am a proponent of the
free software philosophy. 'coreutils' is a very commonly used and important
software package, but its documentation is only available in English and
Japanese. I would like to translate the documentation into Simplified Chinese
(zh_CN), but I don't know if anyone has already undertaken this task. If you
know of anyone who has, could you please inform me? If no one else has
undertaken the Simplified Chinese translation, I am willing to take on this
responsibility. Once the translation is completed, would you be willing to help
me share the results with others?

Previously, I completed the Chinese translation of `texinfo.texi`:

The translation of the `coreutiles` documentation is expected to take no
more than 10 months.

Thank you! Looking forward to your reply!

Yes the simplified chinese translation is current at release 7.2 (2009),
and we'll gladly update that.

In general though might (browser integrated) automatic translation
not suffice now for translation of technical documentation like this?

I don't want to have you do work that is largely automatable now.

thank you,
Padraig
