Any chances of the power's that be placing 1.10.8 on ftp.gnu.org?
I imagine that a LOT of people running into problems with 1.10 are pulling
them off of gnu.org with the idea that it is the official site for CVS.
Certainly there is nothing obvious on the gnu site to indicate otherwise.
If Cyclic/whoever is not willing/unable to keep ftp.gnu.org up to date,
then perhaps gnu.org shouldn't archive it at all, and instead, a cvs.README
placed on there instead that points to ftp.cyclic.com.
