Concurrent Versions System (CVS) 1.10.6 (client/server)
(standard build as with RedHat 6.1)
Possible BUG with selection of an editor for creating log messages.
Documentation (online manual 1.9 & man page) shows editor search order
to be:
environment var CVSEDITOR
environment var EDITOR
vi (or /usr/ucb/vi - man page disagrees with online manual)
However, without CVSEDITOR set but with EDITOR set, the EDITOR defaulted
to the VISUAL setting. If VISUAL wasn't present, EDITOR was used
correctly.
Workaround is to specify a CVSEDITOR variable.
Is this a cvs bug, a documentation bug or am I in error?
