Which would explain why the test hung -- it was waiting for you to
answer the question.

Interesting. Real rsh generally complains that .. isn't a know host;
ssh seems to interpret it as 0.0.0.0, which in turn in generally
interpreted as 127.0.0.1 (i.e., localhost).
