Follow-up Comment #2, bug #17981 (project cvs):
Hi jhyslop,
Question:
>So if I ask the server for the stored modules it respond with >the correct
content - but returns with "Terminated with fatal >signal 11" - "Fehler,
CVS-Vorgang fehlgeschlagen" (In English - >my translation, not the real
errormessage from the Englisch >Version: Error, CVS-Progress failed).
>If I made a dowgrade to the earlier Version 1.12.11-4 on the >new
10.1-Server it works fine again.
Your reply:
>Signal 11 usually indicates the server is out of virtual memory.
Status: Wont Fix!
I think one should investigate a bit further into this subject.
I´m having the very same effect when switching to CVS 1.12.12
(on Suse 10.1). This is not a problem of running out of virtual memory, as
the load is minimal on the server (512MB) and it also happens with
ridiculously small test repositories.
Maybe it´s a problem with the SusE installation/configuration, could not try
SuSE 10.2 yet.
