I am attempting to build CVS 1.11.22 from source on; Red Hat Linux release 9 (Shrike) 2.4.20-8smp #1 SMP cc (GCC) 3.2.2 20030222 (Red Hat Linux 3.2.2-5) SHELL=/bin/bash PATH=.:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11 R6/bin:/root/bin
CVS Source down load from; http://ftp.gnu.org/non-gnu/cvs/source/stable/1.11.22/ cvs-1.11.22.zip Following directions in INSTALL under BUILDING FROM SOURCE CODE. The following error is noted when I run; ./configure : bad interpreter: No such file or directory Any idea what is missing or mis-configured? At first I thought it was path/permission but all belongs to root with appropriate permissions and you can see the PATH above.
