All, I'm sorry to bombard the whole cvs bug list with this question/problem.
I've migrated my OS from a 32 bit version of ubuntu 10.4 to the latest (14.4) 64 bit version of xubuntu. I've installed 64 bit versions of various applications, including cvs. The 64 bit version of cvs reports: Concurrent Versions System (CVS) 1.12.13-MirDebian-11 The 32 bit version of cvs reports Concurrent Versions System (CVS) 1.12.13 note, no -MirDebian-11 Under the 32 bit version the $Id keyword has a the date string format of yyyy-mm-dd. However the 64 bit version expands the dates as yyyy/mm/dd. This causes cvs to report that the file has been modified. As of 1.12.10 cvs was supposed to follow ISO 8601. I remember that change when the slashes were replaced with dashes. That now seems to have been reversed. Is there a fix or workaround short of re-extracting all my sources to a fresh directory and then manually figuring out where the difference are actually significant? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
