Hello, Thanks for your time. I am trying to recover files, pictures and videos from an external hard drive. Currently I have removed the drive from the enclosure and have it connected with a usb hard drive connector. I have been trying to get ddrescue to work but unfortunately I am not able to have it find the drive. It is shown on the computer screen but not mounted. So Ive been trying to get ddrescue to work with a flash drive just to make sure I have the commands right...
bagel...@computerheroesstation:~$ sudo ddrescue -r 3 "/media/FLASH DISK" Desktop/Backup.img Desktop/logfile.log [sudo] password for bagellad: Press Ctrl-C to interrupt Initial status (read from logfile) rescued: 0 B, errsize: 16384 B, errors: 32 Current status rescued: 0 B, errsize: 16384 B, current rate: 0 B/s ipos: 15872 B, errors: 32, average rate: 0 B/s opos: 15872 B but the recovery file is empty. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/DDrescue-Basics-Question%2C-Please-help%21-tp25338966p25338966.html Sent from the Gnu - ddrescue mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Bug-ddrescue mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-ddrescue
