Hi,

I thought I'd write a thank-you note but couldn't find a proper email address
so sorry for posting to bug-ddrescue. Thank you!

Had a 10-year old hard disc with badly damaged primary superblock - it has been
having some clicking noise for a while, I just ignored it until it died.... Ran
ddrescue once with -d -n, then again without -n got me everything back; Then
e2fsck on the image itself and it find the 2nd superblock and use it to fix the
primary one. fdisk the disk (the disk itself seems to be quite damaged, so I
removed the partition and made another partition of the same size but avoiding
the damaged 16 sectors at the beginning). Am very surprised to get essentially
back to how it was.
(except disk geometry is a bit shifted to avoid the damaged sectors).

Thanks for a great tool.
HTL.
