GNU ddrescue is a data recovery tool. It copies data from one file or
block device (hard disc, cdrom, etc) to another, trying hard to rescue
data in case of read errors.

This version is also available in lzip format. If your distro doesn't
yet distribute the lzip program, you can download it from
http://www.nongnu.org/lzip/lzip.html
Changes in this version:
* Ddrescuelog, a tool for conversion and manipulation of ddrescue
logfiles, has been added. (It currently only prints lists of blocks, but
more functions are planned to be added later).
