Please pardon if the formatting, headers, and lack of reply are somewhat awkward here. You see, I'm still recovering from a mail server HDD's death throes myself.

And on account of this, I'd done much what you've done for NTFS, except for ext[23, maybe4], and without any polish yet (lots of what should be command arguments hardcoded in the program for now, having to run one command, redirect to file, sort & edit that file, then run on that file, stuff like that). I tried sending to this list about it, but it wasn't even clear whether this list was one you had to subscribe to in order to send to, and I hadn't, so I guess it never got here. If you'll give me a moment, I should be able to dig that out quickly enough (it was after the mail crash, of course) and re-send it with my own thoughts.
