Awesome work Scott! I look to integrate your script (Both GPL) into my Recovery Distro/Ddrescue front end at triagelinux.com. I welcome anyone to look at my bash script/menu files at http://triagelinux.com/downloads/scripts.zip Though the Clonezilla menu option isn't working.

It is posted in the Ubuntu forum as "gnuddrescue utility script". I wrote it because I couldn't find one that did what I wanted it to do. It is much faster than the traditional grep or md5sum method, and does not require writing to the target. It uses different methods that I found that had not (fully) been put into script yet. I think it will be very useful to some. Feedback is welcome. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1943721 ------------------------------ Message: 2 Date: Wed, 28 Mar 2012 07:39:24 -0700 (PDT) From: andrew zajac <[email protected]> To: [email protected], Scott Dwyer <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [Bug-ddrescue] Utility script to find corrupt files Message-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Thanks for providing this - it looks very nice. I would like to include it in the next release of Ubuntu-Rescue-Remix (next month). It doesn't look like it has many dependencies other than a bare bones base system shell. Are you able to package it as a Debian package? I can help you with that if you need. You mention working on a menu-driven frontend to Gnu ddrescue. What are your plans for that now? Cheers! I think it will be very useful to some. Feedback is welcome. Thanks for the script and the links. If the methods used by your script do not depend on external utilities, maybe they can be incorporated in ddrescuelog.
