What do you think about my proposed solution of truncating the logfile when there are no blocks marked as done in the rest of the logfile? (Posibbly showing a warning and asking the user before continuing).
I would not mind if it was implemented, but I would prefer to have a warning that needs to be confirmed. Otherwise information in the log file might be lost/deleted by this automatism.
I can not imagine a situation under normal circumstances where truncating the log file like this would be required in a way that it can't be done easily in a text editor manually anyway. But maybe someone with more experience on relevant cases can contribute their opinion on this topic?
